A win and print in Better Photography Magazine

 

Happy happy: One of my pictures in Better Photography Magazine

 

My Kerala Trip continues to surprise me, A few months ago I mentioned that one of my pictures clicked in Kerala received  Honorable Mention in Better Photography magazine in a photography contest with the theme ” Beaches” and was printed in the magazine. I was as happy as a small kid and decided to try my luck again and again, lady luck smiled again and one of my pictures won first prize in a contest themed ” Patterns”, in Better Photography magazine.  This time again the good folks at the magazine called me to inform that my picture has been shortlisted and they need a RAW file to verify the picture. So I quickly sent the picture to them and forgot about it. But when I came back from my Thailand Trip and bought the magazine from newsstand I got a pleasant surprise that my picture has been selected as the winner. As you can imagine I am grinning from ear to ear 🙂 🙂

 

The picture that got first prize was again clicked in Kerala on the very first day of  Kerala Blog Express. We have gone out for lunch to Poovar Island Resort, and I saw these interesting chandelier shaped like Lanterns of yesterday years. After lunch, I went out of the room and clicked the picture from outside the room and you can see the result above in the scanned copy and the online version below.

Well, all I can say is I am thankful to all my friends and family and Kerala Blog Express and Better Photography Magazine to select my image from the hundreds of submissions. ( so filmy na 🙂 but I am as happy as a little boy who has been left alone in a toy store )
