Woh Kahan Gayee Pata Nahi. Ek Ruka Hua Shehar  Cotton Candy Never Looked Like This Before Bhago Baarish Ayee Bag Bun Gaya Umbrella Chata Ek, Or Aadmee Teen, Bahut Nainsaafee Hai! Golconda Fort in Hyderabad I have been to Golconda fort in Hyderabad many times, but most of the times it will be with some visiting friends and relative to show them the grandeur of the birthplace of Kohinoor diamond as the legend goes. This last time I visited with some Hyderabadi friends with the sole purpose of taking some pictures Golconda has had a very interesting history. How To Reach Nanded: One can reach Nanded from Hyderabad either via NH7 bypassing Medak Town and then joining the NH16, then taking a left turn from Nirmal on NH 222, the other way is through NH 9 till Sangareddi and then taking the state roads. Since the roads in Andhra Pradesh were good we decided to go through Sangareddi as it was shorter by almost 50 KM. The roads were good but the moment we entered Maharashtra, it dawned on me why the sales of SUVs is increasing in India. If things remain similar India may have to [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

Road Trip to Sri Hazur Sahib Nanded Gurudwara

A Road Trip to Sri Hazur Sahib Nanded Gurudwara in Maharashtra Inside the Gurudwara When we lived in Gurgaon, there was hardly any month when we will not take a road trip. You drive in any direction from Delhi on one of the excellent highways that sprout out of Delhi. If not a long trip I would go to Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary with kids for bird watching. But when we moved to the city of Nizams due to job change I was discouraged by doomsayers that there is nothing to go from Hyderabad except for the stone hinges around [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

Trip to Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary : A Bird watching with kids

Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary- An Oasis in Concrete Jungle of Gurgaon We live in concrete and glass jungle called Gurgaon the city that encroached on the fertile lands of Haryana, taking over one field at a time. Most of the ponds that enriched the water table were filled with the construction debris and the oldest mountain range in the world Aravalis was brutally mutilated by the mining lobby. But among all this lies the Sultanpur bird sanctuary in Gurgaon on the other side of the highway close to ancestral village of Nawab of Pataudi. Sultanpur bird sanctuary is a less famous compared [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

Another visit to USA

Snow in Parking Lot Trees Without Leaves I arrived in US for some business trip last night. My first trip to US was in 1997. It was a different world during those days. Internet was still in its nascent stage and some of the net giants like Google, Facebook, Twitter, eBay etc. have not been formed still or were still in very early stages. The dotcom bubble was still a few years ago. I took a KLM flight from Delhi to Amsterdam and a lot of Indians were in the plane. We had some Indian and some European stewardesses [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]
