  A Morning Visit to Kondapur Botanical Garden with GHAC Nature I had participated in the  first bird watching trip organized by GHAC long back, it was in Kondapur botanical garden, Hyderabad, at that  point the botanical garden was not in very good shape due to extreme summer.  Sunbird Enjoying Nectar I was pleasantly surprised when we visited again with GHAC nature in the morning. Rediscovering Nature in the IT Corridor of Hyderabad at Durgam Cheruvu The Birders at Durgan Cheruvu Durgam Cheruvu was named because it meant Secret Lake and was very difficult to both find and reach. During the times of Qutub Shahi Sultans the lake was surrounded by jungle so thick that except for few locals nobody knew of its existence. Bird watching in Hyderabad At ICRISAT- part II

We again visited ICRISAT campus with Purushotham Rudraraju  who was leading the GHAC group. ICRISAT is one of the best places for Bird Watching in Hyderabad. Today was not a very successful day from clicking photographs of the birds point of view even though we spotted 50+ species of the birds in the ICRISAT Campus. The lake that was brimming with water last month was almost empty and most of the water birds have already left. Hiking in Peerancheru Boulders

Today in the morning I went for hiking in Peerancheru boulders near our apartment with a GHAC group. Bird Watching At ICRISAT

Today early morning I joined a GHAC group to go for bird watching at ICRISAT, which is a United Nations research centre that stands for International Crop Research Institute for Semi Arid Tropics. It is an oasis that is maintaining its greenery in the concrete jungle that Hyderabad is becoming. Visit To Botanical Garden In Kondapur Hyderabad

The Bug And The Buds  I recently visited the Botanical Garden in Kondapur, Hyderabad with a group of click happy shutterbugs; the walk was organized by TCPC or Twin City Photography Club.     Adenium Flowers The botanical garden itself is spread in acres and is lush green with mesmerizing flora; it also has a water garden with a central fountain and ducks swimming in the pond.  There is also a deep artificial lake dug on one side to store rain water and is now frequented by various migratory birds.
