Good Things Come in Compact Size: Sony Xperia Z3 Compact Unboxing and Clicking
We travelers are not an easy lot to please e.g we want all the comforts while traveling but don’t want to harm the environment. We want to try all the good foods of the places we visit yet don’t want to get fat. We want to travel far and wide yet don’t want to carry a lot of stuff. We want to capture best of the pictures yet we don’t want to carry heave cameras and other equipment.
Camera specs is the first thing I noticed on Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, the new smart phone launched by Sony in the Xperia family. The 20.7 Mega pixel cameras immediately caught my fancy and my trigger happy fingers were too eager to start using it immediately.
But before I move further let me share a few pictures of the unboxing the Xperia Z3 Compact. On opening you find a nicely packaged phone with manuals and headphones, USB charger.
My excitement to use the phone was such that I hurriedly clicked some pictures as I was keener to click pictures with Xperia Z3 compact and not of Z3 compact. Now here let me clarify Sony has launched two Z3 models with the only noticeable difference for a lay man being the size of screens. But like I said from traveling point of view I prefer a nifty device that I can easily keep in my pocket and click pictures. A dedicated physical button on the side of phone for camera really comes handy for the same.

The other thing that I liked about the Xperia Z3 Compact is the long battery life. It lasts for almost 2 days depending on usage. This is really handy when I am traveling to interiors or hiking / camping where there is no power, but the scenery is too good to be missed because of a phone without charge in your pocket. The hiking and camping bring me to the waterproof nature of the phone, though I have not tried it but as per Sony the phone has high dust and water resistance rating – IP65/68: Up to 30 minutes in 1.5 meters of water. This sure will give me more confidence to click those waterfalls that spray you with mist, as well as take it out on beach and in rain or even click kids when they are splashing water on you in the pool. Trust me you will have moments when your kids will want you to click them when they are playing holi or splashing water on each other in pool, then you will appreciate the waterproof quality of XPERIA Z3
Immediately after charging my phone I started to configure the same. Now this phone is really smart and even comes with a guide installed that takes you through setting up of your new phone and easily transfer data, contacts, pictures etc from your old phone. I was able to set up my phone in a ziffy and was ready to click pictures. Needless to say I cannot stop talking, clicking and playing on my phone. Oh did I mentioned that Xperia Z3 Compact comes with installed games, Facebook, Twitter and a host of other goodies from Sony which also includes ability to use the phone with PS4 Remote Play support. This means owners of the Sony PlayStation 4 will be able to enjoy their phones as a remote screen to connect to and control their games on the console. How cool is that? A phone ka phone or games kee games that too from your PS4.
As of now I am sharing a few pictures clicked by Sony Xperia Z3 Compact here but will soon be sharing more pictures and posts.

It sure is thanks…
You said in details how useful the phone is, especially for travelers. The above photos have also come very well. I agree that while travelling you need a good phone with better camera facility, better battery life & good processing speed. But as you rightly said we the travelers are not an easy lot to please :). You, while travelling, need also your camera with you to choose the depth of field, close the shutter at your desired speed and for lot more 🙂 Hey, its a good review.
Thanks… we are in times when multiple technologies can co exist simultaneously and the users decide as per need what is best suited.
Looks like a great camera. With 20 MP camera, you can’t go wrong. With a phone like this and camera to go with it, will make taking pictures a breeze. Nice buy.
Yes it has a great camera. I am even clicking pictures in night and they are coming real good.
Really good pics, l liked the way you have taken and shown close up in steps. would be interesting to know how it works in low light…..
