May 2014 Eco Volunteer Training By Karnataka Forest Department and EcoTourism Development Board So the next batch of  Certified Eco Volunteer training has been announced,  this time it is in Kudremukh The dates are: Batch I: 18th  to 24 May 2014 Batch II: 25th  to 31st May Location: Bhagavathi Nature Camp, Kudremukh Cost: Rs 5500, triple sharing all-inclusive, or Rs 3300, all-inclusive in a dormitory accommodation. Using Tiger Camera Traps for Tiger Census

How Many Tigers Are There in India ?  If you ask this question to 2316 people you will get 2316 different answers. The NGOs will try to give the smallest possible number and the forest officials will try to give the largest possible number as both have their own reasons directly related to funding, promotion, media miles etc. But the reasons are not difficult to find as to why we do not have the exact number. Stay at Forest Rest House in Bandipur Tiger Reserve

  Karnataka Forest Department Rest House- Staying in the middle of Bandipur Tiger Reserve As part of our training for the Eco Volunteer Training program jointly organized by Karnataka Forest department, Eco Tourism Development board of Karnataka and Jungle lodges and resorts we had two options of stay: Stay in absolutely beautiful  and bordering luxurious JLR resort and pay around 17 thousand Rupees Stay in absolutely beautiful but basic Forest department residential complex in Bandipur Tiger reserve and pay around 4800 Rs. Road Trip From Hyderabad to Srisailam Temple

Drive to Srisailam Temple and nearby tourist attractions Located just about 250 Km from Hyderabad is the small hill town of Srisailam, famous for the Srisailam or Mallikaarjun swami (Siva) temple.
