Announcing The Winners of Travel Calendar 2016
dear Readers, it gives me immense pleasure to announce the winners of the desi Travel Calendar 2016 winners. Those of you who missed or have just joined the desi Traveler family you may want to chek the contest here: Contest Alert 2016 Calendar Giveaway .
I must say I am overwhelmed at the amount of participation in the contest and the support received from all of you for the contest. Before we move forward let me humbly accept some of the feedback received from fellow bloggers and readers that they found the contest to be complex. Without going into the details all I would like to say is that I will try to make future contests as simple as possible to participate and share.
Here are some insights on the winners choice about the pictures they want for their 2016 Calendar
I think Jordan is the most sought after destination for pictures on the 2016 Calendar, followed by Singapore and Kunzum La and Spiti pictures. I was happy to see a picture of Lord Shiva Idol from Bijapur was liked by professional photographer Ganesan and he wants the same on his calendar.

Besides the above 10 winners two winners by chosen through side contest on weekly blogging chat: Blogchatter on twitter and the admin of same Richa Singh picked up the winners with help of Randomiser and picked up these two winners — Manpreet and Simardeep Singh . Two of the winners Arti and Tanvi had participate in both Twitter and on blogger but in principle of one contest one winner you could win only once, hence a total of 12 winners against the original plan of 10. So to accommodate people who participated on Twitter Chat we increased the contest winners from 10 to 12.
Let me take this opportunity to thank all the participants and supporters of desi Traveler blog and 2016 Calendar contest. Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous 2016.
NOTE FOR THE WINNERS: Congratulations dear winners, I will be contacting you all via email / social media to get your preferred delivery address for the 2016 calendar. Please give me a day or two for that.
