Kausani Travel Guide- Movies To Mahatma Gandhi To The Home Of A Kavi

7 Things To Do In Kausani In Uttarakhand India   So what is common between Anil Kapur? Mahatma Gandhi & Poet Sumitra Nandan Pant?  Well, they all have a connection to Kausani a small sleepy hill town in Uttarakhand. Though I am not sure if Kausani is a small town or a large village, with a population of less than 3 thousand, Kausani has fewer people than the housing society I live in. And that is where lies the time-warped charm of Kausani that offers you unobstructed views of snow-clad peaks, leisurely treks in the forest that are fragrant with [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

July 2018 Calendar Wallpaper – Cycling In Ladakh This blog post is about the July 2018 Calendar Wallpaper, that is yours free to download from desi Traveler blog. But first a bit about the story behind the image.   Panting after walking 10 steps I settled on gravel to catch my breath and tried to focus my camera on the peak beyond the morning mist rising from the valley below. As I struggled to focus, a bouquet of colors punctured the monotonous dusty landscape around me, the clouds parted to let the blue skies also have a peek at [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

Mysore Heritage Walk & Coming Face To Face With History

Discovering A Slice of History as I accidentally go on Mysore Heritage Walk   There is an old saying “Even a small city in India has more history and culture than history textbooks.” What? There is no such saying? Good, then I can apply for a patent for the same! All the historical buildings, palaces, temples around us are taken for granted by us and look at them when one of our foreign friends remarks “Oh what a beautiful building”. Recently I was returning from Bandipur forests, and my friend dropped me in front of KSRTC bus stand, from where [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]
