Lizards Seen in Hyderabad in South India

Lovely Lizards Seen in Deccan Plateau   OK the first word that comes to your mind when you think “LIZARD” Or “REPTILE”? I am sure half of you would not even read further after saying a BIG YUKK   . I mean most of us can only think bad about lizards. But let me ask you this: How can something created by Mother Nature be ugly and without purpose? I wrote in my earlier post about Reptiles of Rajasthan, when I visited Tal Chapar sanctuary, more famous for Raptors and Black bucks. (The Antelope, not the black money wale bucks). I find [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

Anti Poaching Camp in Bandipur Tiger Reserve- A day in life of A Forest Guard

A visit to the Anti Poaching Camp- Bandipur Tiger Reserve As part of our Eco Volunteer Training program we were to visit an Anti Poaching Camp in the Bandipur Tiger Reserve. I will not repeat here why anti poaching camps are needed, we all know we have only about 2500 tigers left in the wild and our apex predator is in great danger from organized poaching camps to man animal conflict leading to casualties on both the side. We humans forgetting totally that the tigers were living in the jungle before humans started encroaching and dividing Tiger territory. Our [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

Padharo Mhare Desh-Welcome to Rajasthan

Road Trip from Delhi To Jaipur Ever felt like you owned the world, after taking a loan and neck deep in debt? That’s how I felt after buying our first car. The aroma from fresh plastic made me dizzy giving a high hard to describe. On the very first weekend after getting the car we hit the Jaipur Highway. A brand new car, “Dhoom Machale” blaring from speakers, almost empty highway, it was a heady cocktail; the louder Tata Young crooned the harder I pressed the accelerator. But  pleas from Missus to slow down brought me to senses. Once [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]
