Traveling with Movies- A trip down memory lane with Chitrahaar from Bollywood I am part of the Doordarshan generation, yes the good old DD, and that too the Black and White one. We had one TV in our extended family, taking the pride of place in the bedroom of one of my uncles.  This was the hallowed room for us, allowed entry only once in a week on Wednesday when the weekly Bollywood dose of Chitrahaar was aired. For the ipod and Youtube generation it will not be out of place to inform what Chitrahaar was. You see in [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

A Book Review of A Vision Of Angels- Timothy Jay Smith Lets go to Jerusalem, one of the few cities that is as old as history itself.  Considered holy to the three Abrahamic religions, where angels, messengers and emperors have walked. Using Tiger Camera Traps for Tiger Census

How Many Tigers Are There in India ?  If you ask this question to 2316 people you will get 2316 different answers. The NGOs will try to give the smallest possible number and the forest officials will try to give the largest possible number as both have their own reasons directly related to funding, promotion, media miles etc. But the reasons are not difficult to find as to why we do not have the exact number. See a tiger in a jungle has no interest to be counted. Given a choice it will not come to face the cameras [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

I wrote in my earlier post about Reptiles of Rajasthan, when I visited Tal Chapar sanctuary, more famous for Raptors and Black bucks. (The Antelope, not the black money wale bucks). I find [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]
