National Rail Museum Delhi

Clicking  History of Indian Railways with Honor 5C National Rail Museum in Chanakya Puri, is such a hidden gem of Delhi that literally thousands past just next to it every day yet few visit it.  Nestled in the diplomatic hub of Delhi, just off the tony Shanti Path, right next to Embassy of Bhutan is this gem of a museum where one of the most important unifying forces of India, as we know today, is on display. With my ever increasing fascination for trains, I am not sure how many times I have been to National Rail Museum in Chanakya [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

Rath Yatra Puri

Some pictures from Rath Yatra Puri The map only showed that Puri is on the sea shore of Bay of Bengal, there was no mention of the ocean of humanity that submerges the city of Lord Jagannath every year. The journey happens on three temples chariots pulled by devotees.  When I reached the main square where Raths were getting final touches, more than the size of the Chariots I am overwhelmed by humanity around me.  It seems the world has congregated on [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

Although there are some inherent shortcomings in Instagram that I do hope they take care in future. [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

Bansphatak Flower Market Varanasi

Colors of Varanasi : Bansphatak Flower Market If there is one city that truly echoes a mini India minus the attempts to scale the walls of modernity clinging to the roots that go deep in the fertile alluvial Indo-gangetic planes then it is Varanasi aka Benaras aka Kashi.  As good old Samuel Langhorne Clemens said – “Benaras is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together”. Well who am I to disagree with Samuel Langhorne Clemens, who has spent some good time in Varanasi and is [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]
