Exclusive Limited Edition Kerala Travel Book Giveaway
Old saying you can take a man out of Kerala but you cannot take Kerala out of a man. If you know of any other version or older version of this saying please update as no longer we are supporting the earlier versions that are outdated and may compromise the fun of this post.
Long story short, after I came back home from Kerala, the good folks at Kerala Tourism emailed me and wanted to publish one of my articles on an exclusive book they were coming out about chosen posts by all the 27 bloggers who were part of the first Kerala Blog Express from around the world. All the way from A for America, B from Brazil to Z for Zealand as in New Zealand, OK so that did not go well.
So let us come back to the book, it is called Kerala – A Blog Eye View and has articles and pictures written by travelers from around the world. Each of the travelers brings a very unique insight into the charms of God’s Own Country.
Let us begin with Michelle Ricafranca Rasmussen (yes that is the name of a single girl, her twin has her own name), who is on the cover of the book along with a gentle tusker and the chemistry between the gentle giant tusker and this Chemistry student cum traveler is evident, and she feels this Elephant hug was the most precious moment of the whole trip.

Elephant Hugs: A precious moment between beauty and the beast
Or take the case of Eva Abal from Spain who was totally fascinated by the colors of Kerala and could not click enough no matter how many memory cards she filled.
Then we have Edgar the eternal traveler from Philippines who thinks to get a more intimate experience of Kerala one needs to cruise on a small Shikara in the narrow canals of backwaters. Or look Dina from Indonesia who is overwhelmed with the Human warmth around her in Kerala. Then we have Gael who is a celebrity blogger from Philippines , and is totally wild about Wayanad.
One of the most interesting post came from Stefania Van Lieshout from the Netherlands ( one of my favorite countries in Europe, that I visited last Century and a next visit is sure due ). Stefania is a true global citizen and has been to more than 60 countries and now lives in Spain. So she is no stranger to diverse cultures and yet found the various signs, posters etc. in Kerala very different from anything she had seen and was sure amused at the cultural differences that one can infer from these posters.
As for me your friendly neighborhood desi Traveler, my article on taking a piece of Kerala Home appeared in the book along with some pictures. So before going to Kerala and prepare your shopping list for Kerala based on this article.
Here is one of my picture that got published in the book (All the pictures are without watermark in the book)

Making of Jesus: Indian Michelangelo Or the Man who saw Jesus
I can go on and on and on but that will spoil the fun that I am about to disclose to those who may soon get a copy of the book.
