A Walk on the Beach Road Pondicherry

Beach Road Pondicherry- An Evening Walk to Enjoy Bapu was born in Porbandar, a city with nice beaches, and historical port that was once major center of commerce, but that later became known for gang wars and movies were made on its notorious Gang led by the Godmother Santokben Jadeja, where Shabana Azmi played the lead character. But Bapu left Porbandar long ago and left his mark not only in this country but also in South Africa and other countries in the world.   To respect Bapu’s association with the beach city he was born in almost every city on [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

Hyderabad Bloggers Meet-Using Social Media for Change

Some time ago I wrote a post on how blogging changed my life it was more of introspection. What I missed was how we bloggers can be catalysts or change agents using our reach in social media to bring social change. I have no qualms about the influence we bloggers have and we will never get to taste the power that is poison, nor will we be able to replicate the Arab Spring. What I am writing in this post emerged from the Hyderabad Bloggers meet that I attended last Sunday, which was meticulously planned and organized by Subhorup [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

Ratatouille- Trying French Food in Pondicherry India

— We all love to revisit our childhood every once in a while just for the sake of good old days. A very tough task for me as I kind of sort of you know actually what I mean is I like to believe that while I left childhood behind long ago, my childhood never left me. Get it? Don’t worry it is never going to come in an exam. So I watch a lot of animation movies with my kids and every once in a while one gets a movie that one loves to watch again and again.   [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

Staying At A Beach Hotel To Attend an International Wedding in Pondicherry Pondicherry or Puducherry is such a beautiful place that one wants to use bigger adjectives like fascinating, mesmerizing, enchanting etc., but none of them can do justice to it. Delicious Delhi, Vegetarian Style

If you happen to be a veggie food buff, you’ll inevitably encounter plenty to feast on in Delhi! Do arrive armed with a plethora of tummy-armor type of drugs from your GP, just in case, so you can soldier on despite the possibility of catching a bug or two. The Indian people do their best, but poor hygiene, as well as water and soil pollution, are common problems, especially in a large metropolis like Delhi. That said, here’s just a sampling of the local delicacies to tantalize your taste buds with (and it’s so worth the risk!)… Foodie Tours Please do [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

Rangoli Making For Sankranti Celebrations in Bhoodan Pochampally Village

Traditional Rural Rangoli Designs from Pochampally Village Telangana Bhoodan Pochampally has its place in history as the birthplace of Bhoodan movement (donating land). It was here in 1951 during the visit of Acharya Vinoba Bhave, a rich Zamindar (landlord), pledged to donate 250 acres of his land to landless people. Thus starting the Bhoodan movement in India, hard to believe that this happened in the very country where everybody from ex-Presidents to son and son in laws of those in Power is regularly involved in land grabbing. But in this post, we will focus on Rangoli pictures taken on [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

Capturing Fishermen Catching Fish in Pondicherry

Fishermen Catching Fish In Pondicherry   I first missed not knowing how to shoot a video first when I saw this skirmish between a Cunning Fox and Eagle in Tal Chapar Rajasthan. I talked with a few photographers and what clearly emerged from my discussion : Still photographs capture the moment better and they give a very sharp image. If your picture is good a single picture can tell the story. Capturing videos is much more complicated and you need to do a lot of editing and sound mixing which is not everybody’s cup of tea. Though now you [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]

Remembering those taken by Tsunami in Pondicherry-India

Shrine remembering-Tsunami in Pondicherry India   While I was walking on the beach in Pondicherry just outside of our hotel I found this small shrine,. This was nothing more than a small hut with a few small idols makes by local potter and a few of them were outside the hut. Some of the idols had broken heads, and it was clear that nobody is taking care of them. I was wondering about  the small shrine in the hut, so I started asking about the same to find something more. One of the managers at the hotels who have [Continue Reading By Clicking Here…]
